Everything’s easier when we stick together.
As some of you may already know, we are bringing back Flex Fundamentals next month for its second cohort.
If you’re not familiar with Flex Fundamentals, it’s a 4-week flexibility intensive that takes you through the basics, proper form, journal prompts, guest speakers, a suggested plan, and individualized coaching.
Revamping Flex Fundamentals has had me thinking deeply about the benefits of being part of a program like this. Whether you’re a flexibility aficionado, or your brand new to bending, having a committed schedule and community will transform your experience. Let’s talk about the reasons why.
This first is for accountability. Whether you’re starting on a new journey, or just getting back into the swing of things, consistency can be so hard to cultivate on our own. In an interactive group like Flex Fundamentals, you have a coach (me!) and fellow flexers cheering you along. If you find yourself falling off the wagon, there’s always someone ready to help you back up.
Not only will you have help staying on the wagon, but you don’t have to steer it all by yourself. This brings me to my next point…
With a program, you get a detailed plan of action. When we exercise on our own, coming up with a plan can be difficult. But with a program, you have an easy-to-follow road map. In the case of Flex Fundamentals, this road map is a bit of a ‘choose your own adventure’ because there are options, but all roads will lead you safely to your goal.
This way, your mental power goes into picking your favorite variations instead of guessing if you’re doing things correctly. Because with a plan…
There’s no room for confusion. It’s hard to enjoy the journey when you spend most of your time figuring out if your knee is in the right spot! With a solid program, you have thorough instruction to make sure that you’re nailing your form in every movement, and a coach ready to answer any questions along the way. A program ensures you the guidance needed to stay safe and trust the process.
