Nice to meet you! I’m Vera.
I am a certified personal trainer, flexibility and mobility coach. On Tiktok you’ll see me call myself ‘Your Fat Flexibility Coach’!
Back in the day, movement felt like a chore that was supposed to “fix” my body. It took time, but I broke free from that mindset in my mid-20s.
Movement became my ticket to feeling good again, physically and mentally, and not just fitting into some mold created by a society that has a narrow eurocentric approach to beauty.
That’s the heart and soul of Flexibility with Vera— a sanctuary of body-neutrality. It’s about acknowledging and embracing every inch of who we are, as is, and moving because it feels so damn good.
I firmly believe that feeling amazing in your own skin should be everyone’s birthright. That’s why in my space, inclusion isn’t just a buzzword— it’s the whole vibe. Our bodies? They’re diverse, unique, and beautiful in their own ways.
That’s why I created Flex Fundamentals, to celebrate our individualities. Whether you’re starting fresh or rediscovering flexibility, I’m here to help you every step of the way.

Guest Speakers
Flexibility with Vera is honoured to introduce you to Chris from Sophryn and Kelsey from Coaching with Kelsey as our special guest speakers!

Chris is a Toronto-based Anti-Diet Food and Body Image Coach. She supports her clients in creating peace and ease in their relationships with food, body, and exercise. Chris came to this work after overcoming her own experiences with an eating disorder, body dysmorphia, and chronic dieting. Chris applies coaching techniques with an anti-diet lens to help people stop their dieting for good and break through limiting body beliefs so they can find acceptance, love, and trust in themselves and in their bodies.

Kelsey is a certified coach who is committed to teaching others how to cultivate a curious and compassionate relationship with themselves and their bodies. Kelsey knows firsthand how challenging it can be to engage with this work alone. This is why they strive to guide clients through those challenges with empathy and understanding, while also offering tools for unlearning what no longer serves them.

What past students are saying
This was a great (re)introduction into flexibility!!! I looked forward to trying all of the videos and the whole program helped me feel capable of my personal flexibility goals in a way other fitness/wellness spaces haven’t. I will definitely be participating in more classes and revisiting these videos. I would do an intensive like this again if it was offered in the future!
– Jess H.
Learning ways to use props so that I can find ways to move into positions that are sometimes too difficult to do. Being given encouragement to adapt positions to my limitations. The one-on-one was very helpful. I also enjoyed the lectures and appreciated that they were in line with a HAES approach to physical movement.

The program made the whole process of introducing a stretching routine to your life feel accessible. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, especially if you’re brand new to anything stretch related, but even if you know absolutely nothing about proper stretching and form, Vera has you covered with lots of breakdowns and helpful videos on common poses/stretches. Flex Fundamentals took the guess work out of what kind of stretches to do when, and for long, and how often: there is a calendar already provided for you (rest days included!) and all you have to do is show up! It was also super nice to feel the sense of community. It was great talking to others going through the program at the same time via regular check ins on the message board, and I loved the idea of having a shared playlist that we could all add to. After about a year of having to put my flexibility training to the side, I’m about to start the program again for the second time, since it’s perfect for getting back to basics. The lifetime access is a huge plus for me because instead of feeling guilty about not being able to prioritize stretching for awhile (life happens!), I have an easy entry point that makes it easy for me to jump back in and start all over again whenever I need it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it really for beginners?
Yes! We learn the basics from the ground up. If you’ve never stretched a day in your life this will be a challenge for you, but the difference you’ll feel after 4 weeks will be worth it!
What do I need to start?
A good attitude and willingness to learn. All you need is some space, water, and a mat or something soft for your hands and knees, as we do have postures that put pressure on them. We will go over props and what you can do if you don’t have any on hand.
How long is this course, when does it start?
This course is designed to be completed within 30 days, but you can complete this at your own pace with lifetime access.
The next cohort of Flex Fundamentals will be happening Spring 2024. Join the waitlist for more info on the course, and early bird pricing available no where else!
What if I can’t exercise 3-5 times a week?
A common concern, and totally valid. You may have to adjust the classes to your life and priorities. Consistency is key, so many of these videos are on the short side (10-15 minutes) so that they are easier to fit into your schedule. We don’t want to push you too hard, so do your best to progress.
What if I’m not a beginner? I already stretch or do yoga.
Great! This program is the perfect chance for you to revisit the basics, learn how to best move your body, and how to activate the right muscles when doing the stretches and poses you already know and love, in order to help you understand how to stretch even further.
What is the cost of this course?
The price of this course is $139 USD. Make sure you join the waitlist to get a special early bird price.
How long will I have access to this program?
You have access to Flex Fundamentals forever.
